UVA students are being forced to move into the dining hall of the school’s former home in downtown Norfolk.
The UVA Dining Hall was evacuated in the wake of a foodborne illness outbreak on Wednesday, and students and staff have been advised to stay at home until further notice.
“The dining hall will remain closed until further information is available,” the university tweeted.
Students at the school have been told to stay in their dorms.UVA announced last week that it had closed its campus to new students after a student died after eating at a restaurant.
The outbreak occurred on May 17, when a person became ill and vomited.
It’s unclear how the person acquired the illness and whether it was a direct result of the illness.
The person died later on the same day.
