The NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament has ended for the second straight year.
The top-seeded and No. 6 seed Colgate defeated No. 7 seed Florida State in the finals.
The tournament has been a staple of college basketball for more than a decade.
Last year, the tournament was the first time it had featured two teams from the same conference.
The NCAA had originally scheduled the tournament for September.
The Big East and Big Ten had agreed to split the tournament and would not be participating.
The NCAA also agreed to a 10-team format, which will include four seeds and one team from each conference.
Last year, five teams from each of the four conferences participated in the tournament, and there was one seed from the ACC.
This year, there are no remaining seeds from the four conference conferences, which makes for a 10 team tournament.
A big reason for the change is that the Big East has a better record than the ACC, which is currently No. 4 in the AP poll.
The tournament will be played on Sept. 13 at the University of Iowa.
The final four will be determined by conference play on Sept, 23.
