The top 50 college basketball players from the 2017-18 season in the rankings released Monday are announced, with an asterisk (*) indicating a player is a transfer from another program.
The ranking, which ranks players from across the country, includes the top 100 players on a team by position, ranking them from No. 1 to No. 25, with the Nos.
31 and 35 players ranked at the position.
The No. 36 player is not on the list.
In the ranking, the top 25 players are ranked based on their overall scoring average (points per game), assists per game (points), steals per game, field goal percentage (points made per field goal attempt), and free throw percentage (percentage of shots taken).
The ranking of the top 20 players in each position is based on how many points per game they scored.
In addition, the rankings include the number of games they played in, their average starting position, and their overall win shares per game.
The first 25 players were released by the National Collegiate Basketball Association and the AP.
